Plasma screens galore have this East Village bar reveling in sports bar heaven. Targeting the lowest common denominator, bargain basement beer and bar food with the sole purpose of soaking up excess alcohol attracts the all too common frat boy crowd from the Upper East side. The trendy hipsters and stiletto loving model wannabe’s of the neighborhood aren’t exactly lining up for a place at the bar. Bounce Deuce wants to be a lush-plush lounge, but it feels more like a low rent saloon with couches and over stimulation for the senses (come on, does anyone need 18 televisions?). What this drinkery lacks in a cool village vibe, is made up for in the register by wannabe Wall Streets who love mediocrity in a rathskeller that is free of personality and panache.
